Reporting smoking violation
Have you ever encountered the unfortunate scenario of finding your car smelling like cigarettes after a booking? Here's a comprehensive guide on how to report Guest smoking in your car, detect such incidents, and even prevent them.
Detecting if Guest Has Smoked in Your Car
You may come across cigarette butts, ashes, and the smell of cigarettes in the car. These signs are clear indicators that a Guest has smoked in your vehicle.
Tips to Prevent Smoking in Your Car
To prevent this issue, inform Guests upfront about the no-smoking policy and place a "No Smoking" sign in the car. This proactive approach may help deter Guests from smoking in your vehicle.
If you discover evidence of smoking in your car after a booking, promptly navigate to the individual booking page on the TREVO app to submit a reimbursement report.
Scroll down to the bottom of the booking page, where you'll find a "Report an issue" button. Tap on it to proceed.
Among the list of issue types provided, look for the option "Smoking Violation" to proceed.
Include specific photos that show physical signs of smoking, such as cigarette butts and ashes.
Submit your report within 48 hours of the booking completion time to ensure its validity and processing. Failure to do so may result in rejection.
To bolster your claim, gather evidence by taking clear photos of the cigarette butts, ashes, or any other indications of smoking inside your car. These visual proofs significantly strengthen your case and expedite the reimbursement process.
In the unfortunate event of a rejected claim, common reasons include insufficient evidence to support the claim. To avoid this, ensure thorough documentation by taking pre- and post-booking photos of your car's condition.
