Hosting Standards
TREVO places importance on trust, reliability, and exceptional car-sharing experiences. Hosts must uphold high standards including clear communication, accurate listings, cleanliness, and safety.
Listing Violations:
- Rejecting too many bookings
- Low Guest ratings
- Expired documents (insurance or road tax)
- Failure to service vehicle past due
- Cleanliness issues
- Failing to meet safety standards
- False listing information (advertising unavailable features, providing a different car)
Host Violations:
- No-show at handover
- Requesting Guests to cancel bookings
- Accepting bookings outside the platform
Repeated violations may lead to warnings or account suspension. Suspended hosts can submit an appeal via the Host Request Form.
Guest Protection (SCDW)
The Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) limits Guest financial liability for accidental damage during a trip:
- Covers: Exterior damage, third-party property damage, vehicle theft, fire/theft, towing
- Excludes: Fuelling error damage, lost/damaged keys or remotes, interior damage
- Invalidated by negligent/reckless driving or unregistered driver use
Reporting Issues & Claims
Report any issue via the app: Host → History → Booking → Report an Issue
- 48-hour deadline — reports submitted after 48 hours are auto-rejected (except fines/summons)
- Claims processing: 7–14 working days
- Appeals: Reply to the same email thread
Reportable issues include: car damage, smoking violations, fines and summons, excess mileage, dirty condition, and late returns.
No Side Deals
Booking and payment outside the TREVO app is strictly prohibited. Violating this policy results in:
- Voided insurance coverage
- Warning or suspension
- De-listing of your vehicle
- Account termination
- Fines
- Denial of all claims
Keep all communication, bookings, and payments within the TREVO app. This protects both you and the Guest.
