Feature: Mileage Package
Starting from March 2024, TREVO is rolling out a new Mileage Package add-on that will not only benefit our Guests but also provide a fantastic opportunity for our Hosts to earn more from their car rentals. This add-on is designed to offer greater flexibility and convenience to Guests who are planning longer trips, allowing them to extend their mileage allowance when making a booking.
What's even more exciting for our Hosts is that they will now have the opportunity to earn from the Mileage Package purchased by the Guest. This means that Hosts can maximise their earnings while providing an enhanced experience for their Guests.
Additionally, the introduction of the Mileage Package will significantly reduce the need for Hosts to submit excess mileage reimbursement requests post-booking, streamlining the entire process and saving time for both Hosts and Guests.
We're thrilled to bring this new feature to our platform, empowering our Hosts to offer even more value to their Guests while boosting their own earnings.
About the new Mileage Package add-on
The Mileage Package rate is set at RM0.60 per kilometre.
How can Guests purchase the Mileage Package add-on?
Guests have the option to purchase additional mileage in blocks of 10 km, 50 km and, 100 km depending on their needs when theyโre making a booking on the app. This can only be purchased when the booking is made.
How do I know if my Guest purchased a Mileage Package add-on?
The additional mileage purchased will be shown on the bookingโs page as per below.
As illustrated in the table above, the maximum mileage allowed on usage remains at 200 km per day. When a Mileage Package add-on is purchased, itโll increase the mileage allowance for the whole booking duration accordingly. Mileage purchase is for the whole duration of the booking and not on a per day basis. This is to cater Guests with the need of extra mileage, in addition to the maximum mileage allowed on usage. In return, itโll reduce Hostsโ effort in submitting the excess mileage reimbursement reports, and improve your time in managing your business.
